Chevy 350 vacuum lines
I swapped a 4bbl onto the 350 in my 74 but I still have the original 2bbl intake/carb sitting in the garage. The vacuum hoses on it are hooked up as follows: One of the two small ports on the back of the carb has a short hose that goes to the choke pull-off on the carb. The other small port has a longer hose that goes up to the ThermAC air …Put a vacuum gauge on the manifold fitting and read what you have. Should be at least 14-18 inches of vacuum. After that if that fixes the brake problem then find a vacuum source that is full vacuum at idle off the carb. Then install the trans line to it. The fitting on the manifold is 3/8", will try it.

The actuating line for the TH350 modulator can go either straight to the intake manifold (there's usualy a tap point right behind the carb mount) or to an up-ported tap on the q-jet. Doing these two mods will remove:ESC and wiring through the firewall, EGR, EGR bleed solenoid and wiring, two TVS (thermal vacuum switches) and 99% of the hard/ rubber vacuum lines. Cap the vacuum nipple that used to connect to the EFE (below).
