Dear Walgreens, Denying/rejecting PTO requested off weeks ago and scheduling those days anyways isn't a way to retain/keep your pharmacists or employees for that matter. We have EARNED that. It is OUR benefit to use whenever/however we see fit and we don't need a reason to justify it. So long as we have it available and request far in ...Corporate has been saying not to schedule part timers more than 24 hours lately, as they are cutting hours. Handbook also says part timers must work 4 days a week minimum tho, so those 24 hrs are spread across 4 days. Yep, and one store I encountered has 6 part timers. Costco, is no more the top tier pharmacy to work at.New RPh Schedules with minimal overlap. New pharmacists schedules at 12 hour stores have us working three 12 hour shifts and one of them back to back. RXM will basically work four 12 hour shifts because one of the days RXM would work 10:30-close while the opening Rph works 8-12. Oh, but you get a 3 day weekend.Entry level PT jobs in say a retail pharmacy, like CVS/Walgreens, typically will pay very close to minimum wage. If you manage to get into long term care, like I did, pay is a little better, but not much, and a hospital or specialty pharmacies, which typically require prior pharmacy experience, will pay the best, which is where I am moving to.
